POMONA, CALIFORNIA (April 1, 2017) – California Highway Patrol reported a racing crash early Saturday morning on northbound 71 Freeway, north of Mission Boulevard. (map)
The accident occurred at approximately 1:40 a.m. The crash occurred between a dark colored Nissan Altima and a sedan. The driver of the Nissan that caused the crash did not stop at the scene. The other driver was found trapped inside his car, after having rolled multiple times. His passenger was able to exit the vehicle on their own.
The sedan driver had to be extricated by local fire department and was taken to a local trauma center. No more details on the accident or injuries are available at this time. CHP is currently investigating the crash to determine cause and liability.
