POCASSET, OKLAHOMA (March 14, 2017) – A man was struck by a train and injured on Tuesday morning on County Road 1260, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 9:50 am on County Road 1260, near U.S. Highway 81. 61 year old Richard Smith was operating a road grader heading westbound on 1260 when he was struck by an oncoming train. There do not appear to be any crossing arms or lights at the intersection.
Richard Smith suffered a head injury in the collision and was rushed to a hospital. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
