CHP Investigating Big Rig Collision
PLEASANTON, CALIFORNIA (December 12, 2016) – The California Highway Patrol reported a serious traffic accident involving a tractor-trailer and a sedan near the eastbound 580 Freeway, just west of Hopyard Road, on Tuesday. (map)
According to the CHP report, a semi-truck carrying cars rear-ended a black Mitsubishi or Acura sedan. Two other vehicles were reportedly involved however no further information was provided.
Emergency crews were called to the scene and provided medical attention to an undisclosed number of people.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
