PLEASANT HILL, CALIFORNIA (January 10, 2017) – A 77 year old man identified as Wallace Ryburn was killed in a tragic accident on the 680 Freeway on Tuesday morning, according to local news sources. (map)

Around 9:00 am on Tuesday, Wallace Ryburn was traveling on the southbound 680 Freeway when he reportedly suffered a medical emergency. Wallace Ryburn veered into the right lanes, striking a Ford Edge and a Hyundai Sonata, then a wooden guardrail. Wallace then veered through two lanes of Contra Costa Boulevard, and crashed into an empty house.

Responding emergency medical personnel rushed Wallace Ryburn to a local hospital, where he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators are attempting to determine whether Wallace Ryburn was killed as a result of the medical emergency, or the collision, and the investigation is ongoing.
