PITTSBURG: Pedestrian Struck by Car and Killed on Stone Harbor Drive near Galway Drive

PITTSBURG, CALIFORNIA (December 27, 2016) – A female pedestrian was killed on Tuesday after she was struck by a truck on Stone Harbor Drive, according to local news sources. (map)

The female pedestrian was crossing Stone Harbor Drive near Galway Drive when she was struck by a truck heading eastbound on Stone Harbor Drive. The pedestrian was dragged a short ways after the accident by the truck.

The pedestrian was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she sadly succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead. The driver that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene and cooperated with local officials as their investigation continues.
