PITTSBURG, CALIFORNIA (February 27, 2017) – A woman was killed in a tragic accident on Monday evening at the intersection of Willow Pass Road and Seasons Drive, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 7:00 pm at the intersection of Willow Pass Road and Seasons Drive. Authorities were already in the area responding to a two vehicle crash when they received reports of a pedestrian accident. Upon reaching the scene, they confirmed that a pedestrian, identified only as a female, had been struck by a car.
Tragically, the female pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. She has been identified as Teresita Cerbas, a 78 year old woman. Initial reports indicate Teresita Cerbas was a family member of one of the drivers involved in the initial two car accident, and was attempting to walk to the collision site when she was struck. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
