The accident happened around 5:30 a.m. A pedestrian was struck by an unidentified vehicle at the intersection of 56th Street and Shea Boulevard. The pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries in the accident and was rushed to a hospital.

The driver that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene and cooperated with local authorities in their investigation. Police are currently investigating the accident to determine the cause and liability.
