PHOENIX, ARIZONA (February 27, 2017) – A 73 year old man was killed in a hit and run on Monday morning on West Denton Lane, according to a local news source. (map)

Authorities responded to the scene around 6:00 a.m. on West Denton Lane around 43rd Avenue and Camelback Road. A man was found in the road, having suffered severe injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle.

The pedestrian was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. Authorities did not locate a vehicle at the scene and are still searching for the hit-and-run driver. The investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
