OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA (February 18, 2017) – A motorcyclist identified as Phitsanu Muncy was killed in an accident on Saturday at the intersection of International Bouelvard and Auseon Avenue, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 11:08 p.m. at the intersection of Auseon Avenue and International Boulevard. 31-year-old Phitsanu Muncy was traveling westbound on International Boulevard, when a truck driving heading east on International attempted to turn northbound onto Auseon Avenue, colliding with Phitsanu’s motorcycle.
Phitsanu Muncy was sadly pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident. The truck driver was also injured, and further investigation determined the truck driver was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. The investigation is ongoing to determine liability.
