“Plane Crash Victims Identified”
PHILLIPS, WISCONSIN (July 4, 2017) – Two of the six victims killed in a small plane crash in Wisconsin have been identified as Charles and George Tomlitz, according to a local news source. (map)
The father/son duo were with four other friends on board a small Cessna 421, en route to Canada from Chicago for a fishing trip. The pilot reported “weather phenomenon” just before dropping off radar. It crashed near State Highway 111 and U.S. Highway 8 around 3:21 am on Saturday, July 1.
69 yer old Charles Tomlitz and his son, 45 year old George Tomlitz were both tragically killed in the crash. The other four victims were identified as 56 year old Thomas Demauro and his son 21 year old Kyle Demauro, James Francis, 63, and Kevin James King, 70. The accident remains under open investigation to determine cause and liability.
