A train was rear-ended by an out of service second train or collided head on with another, the details are currently unclear. The impact pushed cars off the rails and into a third train on a nearby track.
At least three passengers and one train operator were injured, and the train operation was reportedly in critical condition. The accident remains under open investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
“Almost one death or injury per day occurs on the rail system in the United States. Many of these tragic deaths are avoidable, the rail system is antiquated and needs a complete overhaul to ensure the safety of pedestrians, drivers, and train passengers,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm.
