PHELAN, CALIFORNIA (July 11, 2017) – At least one person was killed in a collision on Interstate 15 on Tuesday afternoon, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol. (map)
The accident happened around 12:55 pm on the northbound side of Interstate 15, near Alray and Santa Fe Road. A white sedan and a white truck were involved in a collision for an unknown reason. The impact was enough to cause the sedan to catch on fire.
At least one person was pronounced dead as a result of the accident, and coroners responded to the scene. The accident remains under open investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
