PERRIS, CALIFORNIA (February 7, 2017) – A hit and run driver struck and killed a pedestrian on State Route 74 on Tuesday, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 11:40 pm on the westbound side of State Route 74 near Kimes Lane. A pedestrian was reportedly walking along the westbound side of State Route 74 in the shoulder when she was struck by a westbound car which immediately fled the scene.

The woman sustained fatal injuries and was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation and authorities are attempting to locate the vehicle that struck the pedestrian.
