“Deadly Pedestrian vs. Vehicle Crash”
SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (February 16, 2017) – 62-year-old Ronald Lorenza Johnson died in a vehicle collision Thursday evening on Marysville Boulevard and Roanoke Avenue, according to the Sacramento Police Department. (map)
The fatal crash occurred at approximately 7:18 p.m., when Johnson, crossing Marysville Boulevard, was hit by a vehicle traveling northbound. The officers found Johnson unresponsive, according to Sacramento Police spokesperson Officer Linda Matthew. Police official attempted to revive Johnson until the Sacramento Fire Department arrived. Sadly, Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with police officials. No information has been provided at this time; police are still investigating the accident.
