Bill Searcy and Pat Searcy Dead after Small Plane Crash in West Virginia

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA (September 8, 2017) – A small plane reported missing in West Virginia was found on Thursday in a remote mountainous area, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 11:30 and 3:30 pm on Tuesday, September 5th. A Cirrus SR20 aircraft went missing en route to Illinois with two people on board. The plane was found on Thursday after an extensive search.

Bill and Pat Searcy from Carterville, Illinois, were confirmed to have been killed in the crash. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
