PALMDALE, CALIFORNIA (February 12, 2017) – Two people were killed in a crash that is being attributed to street racing on Sunday evening on 25th Street and Joshua Hills Drive, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 6:30 pm at the intersection of Joshua Hills Drive and 25th Street. A yellow Chevrolet Camaro was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed on 25th Street when the driver lost control and struck a traffic signal, splitting the car in half from the impact.

The two occupants of the car, a 55 year old man and a 17 year old girl, were both tragically killed in the accident. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability and to determine if there was a another vehicle involved.
