PALMDALE, CALIFORNIA (January 4, 2017) – A teenager riding a bicycle was hit by a sheriff’s patrol car on Wednesday evening on 47th Street, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened at the intersection of Avenue S and 47th Street on Wednesday evening. A 16 year old boy ran a red light, and was struck by a sheriff’s deputy who could not stop in time.

The teenager was rushed to a nearby hospital with unidentified injuries, and his current condition is unknown. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
