PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA (January 30, 2017) – Keyon Parks was killed in a DUI accident on Monday night on Sunrise Way and Amado Road, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 5:49 pm at the intersection of Sunrise Way and Amado Road. A man identified as Robert Garcia Jr was driving southbound on Sunrise Way while under the influence of drugs when he attempted to turn left onto Amado Road through oncoming traffic. As he attempted the turn, he was struck by an SUV.
A passenger inside Robert Garcia’s vehicle was tragically killed in the collision, and was identified as 39 year old Keyon Parks. The driver of the SUV and their passenger were also injured and rushed to a nearby hospital. Robert Garcia Jr was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs. The investigation is ongoing.
