PALM SPRINGS: James Scott Dead, Hit by Car on Sunrise Way near Camino Parocela

PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA (December 20, 2016) – 77 year old James Scott of Grand Terrace has been identified as the pedestrian killed while crossing Sunrise Way on Tuesday, according to several local news sources. (map)

James Scott was attempting to cross Sunrise Way near Camino Parocela on Tuesday evening around 7:10 pm, when he was suddenly struck by a white Tesla SUV heading southbound on Sunrise Way.

James Scott was tragically pronounced dead at the scene despite bystanders attempts to resuscitate him. The driver that struck James Scott remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.
