OXNARD: Young Girl Injured in DUI Crash on Juneberry Place

“Motorist Crashes Into Home”

OXNARD, CALIFORNIA (May 14, 2017) – A young girl sustained non-life threatening injuries when a vehicle crashed into the home on Juneberry Place south of Vineyard Avenue early Sunday morning, according to the Oxnard Police Department. (map)

The incident occurred at approximately 3:10 a.m. Initials reports indicate that a motorist driving and SUV, traveling northbound on Lantana Street, veered off the roadway for unknown reasons and collided with the home, according to the Oxnard Police officials.

The vehicle hit a bedroom where three girls were located. One of the girls sustained non life threatening injuries. The driver fled the scene and was later found. Police officials believe that drugs and or alcohol may have been factors of the collision An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash.
