OXNARD, CALIFORNIA (April 25, 2017) – A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a car on Tuesday morning, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 2:19 am at the intersection of Wooley Road and Commercial Avenue. A male victim was struck by a car of unidentified make and model at the intersection.
The pedestrian was rushed to a nearby hospital, but their current condition is unknown. A black Lexus sedan was seen at the intersection, but it is unknown if that was the vehicle that struck the pedestrian or a witness. The accident remains under open investigation to determine cause and liability at this time.
“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, a California pedestrian accident and personal injury law firm.
