The accident happened around 3:33 am at the intersection of Pleasant Valley Road and J Street. A 2011 BMW was heading south on J Street when it struck a parked vehicle hard enough to knock off the right front wheel. The BMW entered the intersection of Pleasant Valley Road and lost control, hitting a pole, flipping over and coming to rest on the driver’s side.
The right front passenger in the BMW, a 20 year old man, was critically injured and was rushed to Ventura County Medical Center. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 20 year old Daniel Escobedo of Oxnard. Daniel Escobedo sustained only minor injuries in the accident, and was arrested for DUI. The investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
“Any injured party involved in an accident will have a bodily injury claim against the negligent driver who caused the accident,” said a California car accident and personal injury lawyer.
