OXNARD, CALIFORNIA (January 2, 2017) – According to the Oxnard Police Department, a 27-year-old man was killed and two others were injured on Tuesday in a multi-vehicle collision on Rose Avenue, just south of Cesar Chaves Drive. (map)
The OPD reported that the 27-year-old was traveling northbound on Rose Avenue in a 350Z around 12:00 p.m. when he veered into the southbound lane and collided with a Chevrolet pickup truck, driven by 45-year-old Reynaldo Lugo, causing Lugo to crash into a Honda Civic. One of the vehicles engulfed in flames.
The OPD states that the 27-year-old Oxnard man was pronounced dead at the scene while Lugo and the driver of the Honda Civic, 21-year-old Andre Gutierrez, were transported to a hospital with moderate injuries.
