OTTAWA, KANSAS (February 28, 2017) – A 34-year-old man was killed after he was struck by a car on Tuesday evening on K-68 and I-35, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 8:00 p.m. at the intersection of K-68 Highway and Interstate 35. A 2000 Jaguar, driven by a 69-year-old man and carrying three passengers, was heading eastbound on K-68, when he struck a 34-year-old pedestrian who was also walking east.
The pedestrian, identified as Jake Flores, was rushed to Overland Park Regional Medical Center where he tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The driver of the Jaguar, identified as Andrew Spisak, and his three passengers were uninjured. The accident remains under investigation.
