OSHKOSH, WISCONSIN (July 27, 2017) – Three people were injured after a seaplane attempting to take off flipped over on Lake Winnebago, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened on Thursday evening, at an aviation convention hosted by the Experimental Aircraft Association. A seaplane carrying three people was attempting to take off on choppy water when it flipped over, trapping two in the plane.

The two people in the plane were critically injured, and the condition of the third party is unknown. The accident remains under active investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
