OROVILLE, CALIFORNIA (January 28, 2017) – A 1 year old boy was injured in a rollover accident on Saturday on Highway 70, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 3:35 am on the southbound side of Highway 70 near Georgia Pacific Way. A 21 year old drunk driver was driving a stolen 1999 Oldsmobile Alero southbound at a high rate of speed when he lost control and overturned.
A 1 year old child inside the vehicle that was not secured with a seatbelt or carseat was ejected during the collision. The 1 year old suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. The driver, identified as 21 year old Jacob Leon Aguilar Price, was wearing a seatbelt but still suffered major injuries. Jacob Leon Price was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
