ORLANDO, FLORIDA (December 13, 2016) – An airboat capsized in the St Johns River on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in injuries, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 1:00 pm. A boat carrying at least seven people capsized into the St Johns River, off of State Road 50, near Christmas, for unknown reasons.
A total of 3 people suffered injuries. One was airlifted from the scene after being pulled from the water only semi-conscious. Two others were taken by ground ambulance with minor to moderate injuries. The condition of the man airlifted is unknown at this time.
