ORANGE, CALIFORNIA (June 22, 2017) – A woman was critically injured after being struck by a metrolink train off Atchinson Street on Thursday evening, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 5:45 pm near the Orange Transportation Center. A woman, whose age is being withheld at this time, was struck by a Metrolink train for an unknown reason. The train was reportedly San Bernardino bound train 812.
The woman suffered serious injuries including a partial limb amputation. She was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition, and the investigation into the accident is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
