ORANGE: Two Killed in Car Accident on 55 Freeway near 22 Freeway

ORANGE, CALIFORNIA (July 17, 2017) – Two people were killed in a car accident on Monday morning on the 55 Freeway interchange, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 2:46 am on the northbound 55 Freeway on the transition to the westbound 22 Freeway. A pickup truck and another vehicle were involved in an accident, and the pickup truck caught on fire after the accident.

Two men from the pickup truck were both killed as a result of the accident. One died at the scene, and one was rushed to a nearby hospital where he also died. A man and a woman were inside the other car, and their condition was unknown. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
