“Investigation Ongoing”

ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA (October 12, 2017) – A pedestrian was struck by a semi truck on Fourth Street and left with injuries, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 6:00 am at the intersection of Fourth Street and Barrington Avenue. A pedestrian was reportedly crossing the street when they were struck by a semi truck.

Emergency medical personnel rushed to the scene, but the condition of the injured pedestrian is unknown at this time. The big rig driver stopped and cooperated with authorities at the scene. The accident remains under open investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.

“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law, a pedestrian accident and personal injury law firm.
