ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA (May 9, 2017) – Three to four vehicles were involved in a collision on the 60 Freeway on Tuesday, according to the California Highway Patrol. (map)
The accident happened around 1:00 pm on the westbound side of the 60 Freeway near Mountain Avenue. A big rig, a pickup truck, and up to two additional vehicles were involved in a collision for an unknown reason. A witness stated that one of the vehicles, a white Toyota Corolla, was traveling at 100mph or more prior to the accident.
At least one person was injured, and emergency medical services responded to the scene to tend to any injuries. The accident remains under investigation to determine cause and liability at this time.
