NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA (November 20, 2017) – A motorcyclist that was struck by a semi truck and killed on Monday has been identified as Omar Moreno, according to a local news source. (map)
Omar Moreno, known to family and friends as “El Nene”, was riding his motorcycle on Harbor Drive around 5:50 am on Monday morning. As he approached a small intersection with a private driveway, a semi truck turned left in front of him, striking Moreno on his motorcycle.
Omar Moreno was tragically pronounced dead as a result of the accident. The semi truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities in their ongoing investigation. Moreno was described as being a giving person, and left behind six children. A GoFunfMe page has been set up to help with funeral expenses.
