JURUPA VALLEY, CALIFORNIA (February , 2017) – 24-year-old Omar Arambula was involved in a traffic collision on the 60 Freeway near Country Village Road early Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. (map)
The incident happened at approximately 3:30 a.m. A 1995 Honda Accord with three occupants traveling eastbound on the 60 Freeway, struck the center divider. the impact caused the vehicle to become inoperable, according to CHP.
The stalled Honda sat in the traffic lanes with the lights off, when a 2016 Ford Fusion collided into the Honda Accord. One of the occupants of the vehicle was ejected from the vehicle and thrown over the center divider.
Arambula and two other occupants, one identified as 27-year-old Jose Perez, died at the scene. The identity of the third occupant has not yet been released. It was unclear of who was driving the Honda.
The driver of the Fusion sustained minor injuries.
