OMAHA, NEBRASKA (February 26, 2017) – A 19-year-old woman was killed on Sunday night in a semi-truck accident on Highway 275, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 6:30 p.m. on the eastbound side of U.S. Highway 275 near Valley. A 2004 Buick Rainier driven by Cherrington was heading west on the Highway, when she crossed over the median for an unknown reason and collided with an eastbound cattle hauler semi-truck.

Tyler Cherrington was tragically declared dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck, Kreg Mitteis, did not report being injured in the accident. The accident remains under active investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
