EL MONTE, CALIFORNIA (October 29, 2017) – Octavio Rodriguez was tragically confirmed to have been killed in a motorcycle accident early Sunday morning on the 60 Freeway, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 4:30 am on the westbound side of the 60 Freeway near Santa Anita Avenue. A motorcyclist identified as 39 year old Octavio Rodriguez was riding his 2013 Ducati Monster when he came across a stalled vehicle in the fast lane. Unable to stop, he crashed into the rear of the car.
Octavio was tragically pronounced dead at the scene as a result of his injuries. The operator of the vehicle reportedly stayed at the scene, and later at least one person was seen being handcuffed and loaded into a squad car. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
