OCOTILLO WELLS, CALIFORNIA (March 2, 2017) – Three people were injured in a car accident on Thursday morning on State Route 78, according to a local news source. (map)
A 60 year old woman was driving eastbound on State Route 78 around 8:00 am in a GMC Envoy, just west of Split Mountain Road. For an unknown reason, she abruptly veered out of her eastbound lane and into the path of a westbound Hyundai Elantra, causing a collision.
The Elantra was carrying two people, a 73 year old male driver and his wife. They were both airlifted to a hospital, as was the 60 year old driver of the GMC. Their current condition is unknown at this time, and authorities continue to investigate.
