OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA (March 8, 2017) – Multiple cars were involved in a collision on Interstate 880 on Wednesday afternoon, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)
The original report states that around 1:10 pm on the southbound side of Interstate 880 near 29th Avenue, a red Mazda 6 and a blue Ford Shuttle van collided, but the report was later amended to say it might have involved two additional vehicles in a separate collision.
An ambulance responded to the scene after at least one party reported injuries. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
