OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA (February 27, 2017) – A motorcyclist was involved in a collision on Monday morning on Interstate 880, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)
The accident happened around 11:00 a.m. on the northbound side of Interstate 880, near Broadway. A motorcycle crashed into the guardrail for an unknown reason. One report states a silver Mercedes Benz and a black Toyota may have been involved in the accident as well.
The motorcyclist’s current condition is unknown, however the motorcyclist was seen down in the road after the accident. An ambulance responded to the scene to render aid to anyone injured in the accident, which remains under investigation at this time.
“Motorists must be aware of motorcyclists on the road at all time. They may not always appear in rear view mirrors and often end up in blind spots causing drivers to completely miss them, creating potential for a possible accident,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, a California motorcycle accident and injury law firm.
