OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA (December 16, 2016) – Barrett Clark, a 35 year old sound engineer, was killed in the tragic fire that broke out in a warehouse in Oakland on December 2nd, according to several news sources. (map)
The accident happened at a warehouse on 31st Avenue in Oakland’s Fruitvale suburb, which was being used to host a rave the night of the fire. Normally local artists lived in the warehouse, which hosted RVs and small living quarters cluttered with furniture. The fire started in the back of the warehouse and spread quickly due to the crowded interior. 35 year old Barrett Clark was among those in attendance of the rave.
Barrett was known as being a kind soul with a great sense of humor, who was also one of the kindest people you could ever met, according to a friend of his.
The fire is still under investigation as authorities attempt to decipher what happened the night of the fire, and why the fire broke out in the first place. Initial reports state the fire may have been caused by faulty wiring.
