CHP spokesman Chad Hertzell reported that two pedestrians and a dog were hit by a car around 7:18 p.m. Drugs or alcohol were not a contributing factor in this accident.
Hertzell states that the two pedestrians and the canine were lying in the street when officers and fire personnel had arrived at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
