“Pedestrian vs. Vehicle Crash”
NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA (July 6, 2017) – Two pedestrians were involved in a vehicle collision on West Coast Highway near Lido Isle Thursday evening, according to the Newport Beach Police Department. (map)
Police officials were dispatched to the scene at 9:39 p.m. A vehicle traveling eastbound on West Coast Highway veered off the road and collided into the pedestrians, The initial report was of a vehicle crashing into a building , according to Sgt. Cory Wolik.
The extent of the injuries are not yet known. The identities of the pedestrians were not released. No other information of the collision was available. Police officials closed one of the eastbound lanes as they continued their investigation to determine the cause of the collision.
