NEWMAN, CALIFORNIA (January 23, 2017) – A semi-truck and a pickup truck were involved in a collision on the 5 Freeway near Stuhr Road on Monday afternoon, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 3:00 pm on the 5 Freeway near the Stuhr Road on-ramp. A pickup truck allegedly crashed into the rear of a big rig on the freeway, with at least one vehicle sent into a nearby ditch.
An ambulance responded to the scene to tend to anyone injured in the accident, but the condition of those involved is unknown at this time. The accident remains under open investigation by the California Highway Patrol to determine liability.
