NEWBERRY SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA (March 30, 2017) – Multiple vehicles were involved in an accident on Interstate 40 on Thursday, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 2:42 pm on Interstate 40, near Fort Cady Road. A big rig, a Ford Edge, and a burgundy Ford pickup truck hauling a fifth wheel trailer were involved in a collision.
The driver of the big rig was reportedly trapped after the accident, and was extricated. The trailer on the pickup tuck sustained major rear end damages. The condition of those involved is unknown at this time, but the incident was classified as a major injury accident. The accident remains under investigation.
