“Ongoing Investigation”
NEWARK, CALIFORNIA (February 18, 2017) – California Highway Patrol reported two vehicles collided on Saturday night at approximately 8:53 p.m. on the southbound 880 Freeway, just north of Mowry Avenue. (map)
The force of the impact was so severe that both vehicles rolled over, trapping at least one victim inside. One vehicle landed on its wheels and the other going over the side of the railings. One of the vehicles was leaking oil and began smoking. A passerby driving a blue Chevrolet SUV stopped over to assist. Emergency and rescue crews arrived at the scene to rescue to extricate those trapped inside.
An investigation by CHP is still ongoing to determine cause and liability.
“Any injured party involved in an accident will have a bodily injury claim against the negligent driver who caused the accident,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, a California car accident and personal injury law firm.
