NEW ORELANS, LOUISIANA (March 1, 2017) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident on Wednesday morning on St Claude Avenue, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened on St. Claude Avenue, near Poland Avenue. 33 year old Kinsey Billac was crossing St. Claude Avenue when she was struck by a westbound Infiniti SUV driven by a 32 year old man.

Kinsey Billac was rushed to a local hospital, but tragically died Thursday as a result of injuries sustained in the accident. The driver has been identified as Steven Johnson. Steven Johnson was arrested for a suspended driver’s license, no insurance, no registration, and driving with a switched license plate.
