Neal Jenkins and Elaine Jenkins Killed in Boating Accident in Idaho

“Investigation Ongoing”

IDAHO FALLS (August 21, 2017) – Two people were killed and another was injured in a boating accident at the Ririe Reservoir on Monday, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened at Blacktail Park, on the Ririe Reservoir. A boat occupied by three people attempted to execute a turn and ejected all three people. The boat began to turn in circles and struck all three people in the water.

Elaine Jenkins, 65, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband Neal Jenkins, 68, was rushed to a hospital where he was sadly pronounced dead a short time later. The operator of the boat, 63 year old Mike Kingston, remains hospitalized. The accident is under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
