NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA (February 16, 2017) – A store clerk in a 7-Eleven store suffered injuries after a car crashed into the front window of the shop on North Highland Avenue on Thursday morning, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened in the 100 block of North Highland Avenue near Division Street, just before 11:00 am. A teenager identified as a female student driver, crashed into the front window of the 7-Eleven and ended up halfway inside the building. A cashier inside the store suffered minor to moderate injuries in the collision, including eye trauma described as serious. The cashier was rushed to a nearby hospital in unknown condition.
The 16 year old driver and her mother, as well as several other people inside of her car, were reportedly uninjured. The accident remains under investigation to determine cause and liability at this time.
