MULVANE, KANSAS (February 22, 2017) –A 64-year-old man identified as Rex Pyeatt was killed on Wednesday morning after he was hit by a train on 120th Avenue, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 8:30 a.m. on 120th Avenue North, near K-15. Red Pyeatt was driving east on 120th Avenue, when he was struck by a southbound train at an open crossing with no lights or arms. Rex Pyeatt was tragically pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.
The accident remains under open investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
