MOUNTAIN PASS, CALIFORNIA (January 22, 2017) – 73 year old Abdullah Bashir was killed in a tragic accident on Sunday on the 15 Freeway, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 10:08 am. Abdullah Bashir was traveling in the front seat of a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac heading northbound on Interstate 15 near Mountain Pass. The driver of the vehicle lost control, and the vehicle overturned.
Abdullah Bashir was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, and was ejected. He suffered fatal injuries, and responding paramedics tragically declared him dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
