“Moreno Valley Muti-Car Crash”
MORENO VALLEY, CALIFORNIA (February 19, 2017) – Four cars were involved in a collision early Sunday morning north of Mystic Lake, according to the California Highway Patrol (map)
The collision occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. Riverside County Fire Department responded to a multi-vehicle collision at the intersection of Gilman Springs Road and Eden Hot Springs Road. Rescue crews found a pile up of four vehicles with two people trapped inside. Initial reports indicate that 12 people were found at the scene and nine people were transported to local hospitals. Four people suffered serious injuries and the other five sustained minor to moderate injuries.
One of the vehicles was reported as having gone over the embankment, according to a Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department news report. An ongoing investigation is being conducted by the CHP to determine if drugs and/or alcohol were factors in the multi car pile up.
